Robert Earl Eshelman, 75, resident of Bartlesville, died at 5:39 PM, Saturday in Bartlesville,

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday in the Spring Creek Cemetery in Grant County, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 4 P.M., Friday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel.

Bob was born in Caldwell, Kansas to Ruby and Earl Eshelman. He attended Grant County Rural Schools and Graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1957. He attended Northern Oklahoma College at Tonkawa. He was a firefighter at Blackwell, Oklahoma and retired from there in 1983. He then worked for Conoco Safety for ten years all the time he was engaged in Farming in Kay and Grant Counties in Oklahoma and Sumner County in Kansas. He also sold farm machinery.

Following a massive heart attack and 2000, he retired to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he became the “Patriarch of Swan Lake”. Neighbors in the community were familiar with his industry and presence in preserving and enjoying the neighborhood. His last years in Bartlesville were among his happiest.

Bob was preceded in death by his father.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mitzie, of the home, a daughter, robin Staab, and her husband of Bartlesville. Grandkids, John Lawrence, and wife Morgan and grandson Matt Staab all of Houston, Texas, daughter Gay Lynn Nickell and husband Mike , and daughter Micah reside in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, his mother-in-law, Opal Klein resides in Dewey, Oklahoma Bob’s mother, Ruby resides in Caldwell, Kansas as does his sister Brenda Valouka, brothers Dave and Rick of Harper, Kansas and brother Gary lives in Perkins, Oklahoma. There are many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family my remember Bob through donations to the Breast Cancer Assistance Program.
