The funeral for Lloyd Arthur Williamson, 70, of Stillwater, formerly of Medford, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at First Christian Church, Medford. The Revs. Craig VanDeburgh and Ronald H. Eldridge will officiate. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford. Arrangements are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.
He was born Feb. 28, 1938, to Oscar and Ethyl Clem Williamson and died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009.
He graduated from Vici High School in 1956, then earned an associate's degree in diesel mechanics from Okmulgee Tech. He married Janet Elayne Russell June 1, 1958. They made their home in Walden, Colo. He was a mechanic, then served in the Army Reserves six months in active duty followed by six and a half years of reserve duty. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1959, settling in Medford. He worked for John Deere until 1974, then Koch Oil, retiring in 1993. He served as a volunteer fireman in Medford more than 20 years and as fire chief in his turn.
He was a deacon of First Christian Church and Morrison Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; two daughters, Brenda Kilian of Derby, Kan., and Lana Fleshman of Morrison; one sister, Shirley Ladd of McCloud; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
