Richard Darwyn Turner was born March 5, 1965 to Richard Turner and Katherine Gonzalez Turner in Orange County, California and passed away November 9, 2019 at work. He graduated from Bellflower High School in 1983. After graduation he became a crane operator for Kern Backhoe. He married Sally Jenkins in 1985 and created a family with three children: Deric, Brandon and Trisha. They moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1992 and there they took in his two nieces, Misty and Desiree, and raised them as their own.

Richard joined the military in 1999. While in the U.S. Army he served in Alaska and did a tour of duty in Iraq from 2005 to 2006. He received many meritorious marksmanship awards and was a devoted soldier who served with great honor.

Richard and Amy Dowers married in 2001 and he gained two daughters, Kari and Kacee, through the marriage. Then they had their last child, Nicholas Turner. They moved to Medford where he was employed with Koch Industries and later with Phillips 66 in Ponca City. After this he started a new job at Vance Air Force Base as a civilian aircraft mechanic.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard; grandfather, Emiliano Gonzalez; grandmother, Eva Gonzalez; grandfather, Josephine Turner and brother, John Law.

Richard is survived by his mother, Katherine Turner; wife, Amy Turner; sons, Deric Turner, Brandon Turner (Ashley), Nicholas Turner; daughters, Misty Prewett (Jared), Trisha Lewis (Mikah), Kari VanDusen (Dalton) and Kacee Adams; grandchildren, Eli, Colt, Lane, Kye, Paxton and Eloise; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Medford High School Auditorium with burial at Rosemound Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
