Funeral services for Greg Smith, 53, Medford, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Methodist Church of Medford with Pastor Laura Glover officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Stittsworth Funeral Service, Medford. Visitation with the family present will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stittsworth's.
Greg was born on January 26, 1965 in Oklahoma City, the son of Claud and Rosalyn Yates Smith, and passed away suddenly on January 2, 2019 in Enid. He was raised and educated in Medford, graduating from Medford High School with the class of 1983. Greg attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. He married Connie Jo Winter in Medford on June 2, 1984. Greg was an auto mechanic by trade and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Medford. Greg worked as a fireman for the Medford Fire Department, retiring after serving his community for 20 years. Greg loved to play golf and watching his children play sports. Greg loved listening to Boston, AC/DC, 38 Special, and Journey.
Survivors include his wife, Connie of the residence; daughter, Stephanie Smith of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, Austin Smith of Medford; brother, Ron Smith of Medford.
The family has suggested memorial donations in Gregs memory be made payable to either the Medford Fire Department or the Medford Golf Course.
