The funeral for Margaret Eva Ripper, 73, of Medford, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Church of the Nazarene, Medford. The Revs. Shane Rackley and J.T. Carnell will officiate. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford. Arrangements are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.
She was born July 19, 1932, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Robert A. Lopez and Ramona J. Cruz-Lopez and died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She married Harold “LeRoy” Ripper Nov. 30, 1973. They made their home in Enid and Medford. He died Oct. 16, 2003.
She was a homemaker and member of Church of the Nazarene. She worked for Enid Credit Union, Oakwood Country Club and Ramada Inn and was a teller at Security National Bank for 30 years.
Surviving are five daughters, Melissa Little of Wallis, Texas, Teresa Hammer of Enid, Debbie Cooper of Seiling, Claudette Damron of Edmond and Cheryl Moinzadeh of Orange County, Calif.; three sons, Robert Overfelt of Wellington, Kan., Donald Overfelt of Enid and Harold “Hal” Ripper stationed in Germany; four sisters, Juanita Montez, Martha Lopez, Mary Alvarez and Heddy H. Vance; four brothers, Joe Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Ezekiel Lopez and Timothy Lopez; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, LeRoy, she was preceded in death by one sister and a brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, P.O. Box 280, Medford, OK, 73759, to Alzheimer’s Association or Church of the Nazarene.
