A prayer vigil for Mildred Florence Myers, 69, of Medford will be 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Medford. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church. The Revs. Mike Wheelahan and Jerome Spexarth will officiate. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery, Medford. Arrangements are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.
She was born Oct. 16, 1938, in Colwich, Kan., to Robert N. and Mary Therese Mohr Martin and died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.
She attended St. Marks Elementary School and graduated from Andale High School.. She married Edwin F. “Ben” Myers Nov. 24, 1990. They made their home in Medford. He died Aug. 6, 2006. She was a homemaker, nurse aide and medication aide. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert Martin of Wichita, Kan., and Adrian Martin of Goddard, Kan.; six sisters, Bernadette Sanders and Theresa Sanders, both of Wichita, Mary Ann Freund of Goddard, Barbara Spexarth of Colwich, Sylvia Seiler of Grand Junction, Colo., and Carol Schauf of Grapevine, Texas; one stepson, Dennis Myers of Las Cruces, N.M.; and one stepgranddaughter.
In addition to her husband, Ben, she was preceded in death by one brother.
