Oliver Marvin Boyer, 86, gently left this world Monday, September 14, 2020 with his son, family, and loved ones by his side.
He was born September 5, 1934 to Charlie and Grace Boyer in Medford, Oklahoma. The middle child of three brothers, he began helping on the farm as a young boy, helping his family through the hardships of the Dust Bowl era. Ollie enjoyed working outdoors. He chose a clean life of hard work, serving in the oilfield and farming his family land most of his life.
A strong, wholesome, and caring man, Oliver had patience and love for friends and neighbors, helping others any way he could. He was fond of travel, photography on summer vacations, and took the family to the Rocky Mountains every year after harvest. Ollie enjoyed rebuilding tractor engines, country dancing, and road trips, which he was active in through his final days.
His son, Bradley Boyer survives him.
Oliver Boyer's Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Rosemound Cemetery in Medford. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
