Nash – Alan Armstrong, 19, died Tuesday in an Enid hospital. Graveside service will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Rosemound Cemetery at Medford. A Memorial service will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Nash First Christian Church with the Rev. Lester W. Hastings officiating. Services directed by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
He was born July 1, 1968, at Enid and moved to Nash in 1980 graduating from Jet – Nash high school in 1986. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University at Alva for two years where he was a member of TAU and Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
He was active in scouting, received the Masonic Student of Today award when he was in the eighth grade, was vice president and secretary – treasurer of his high school class, and was annual staff photographer.
Surviving are his parents, A. K. and Shirley Armstrong; two brothers, Kyle and Corey and two sisters, Sondra and Jackie all of the home; his paternal grandmother, Zella Armstrong of Medford and maternal grandmother, Mildred Blue, Vancouver, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers.
Memorials may be made to Jet – Nash high school for a scholarship fund.
The casket will be open until graveside services.
