Medford – a Memorial service for Grace Evelyn Anderson, 91, will be 10 AM May 19 in Medford first Baptist Church. The Rev. Bobby Smith will officiate. Burial of cremains will be in Rosemound Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Hills – Ely Funeral Home.
She was born October 3, 1912, on a farm near Medford to Dane and Adaline Davis Roseberry and died Monday, April 19, 2004, in Anchorage, Alaska.
She graduated from Medford high school in 1933. On October 31, 1936, she married L. H. "Butch" Anderson at Wichita, Kansas. They lived in Medford and operated Great County Abstract Company until 1973. During World War I I, she was employed for two years by small defense plants near Los Angeles, California, while he served in the Army. She moved to Anchorage on November 24, 1999, then to Providence Extended Care Center in July 2002 after suffering a broken hip. She was a member of first Baptist Church in Medford and VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving is one son, Jere of Anchorage.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 16, 1981.
