EDNA MAE WILSON
Edna Mae Wilson, age 103, funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at United Methodist Church, Pond Creek, with the Rev. Sonja Tobey officiating, with internment following in Pond Creek Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
She was born October 2, 1906, on her grandfather’s homestead north of Medford to Samuel Oliver and Emma Marie Dupps Lynn. She died Friday, March 26, 2010, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Enid.
She graduated Medford High School in 1925. Edna married Orville H. Wilson June 28, 1925, in Medford. They moved to Weatherford in 1929. She was active in the Lee Wilson Furniture and Undertaking Co. in Pond Creek and established the Wilson Funeral Home in 1951.
Edna was a member of United Methodist Church in Pond Creek, United Methodist Women and taught oil painting and art at the Sunshine Center. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She played the organ at the United Methodist Church in Pond Creek.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, two sons, Eugene & Charles Wilson, one sister, Letha Enby, three brothers, Dr. Arthur Lynn, Ralph and Elmer Lynn..
Edna is survived by her one son, Dr. Keith Wilson and wife, Mary Ann, Magnolia, Texas; one daughter, Maxine Peier and husband, Dale, Wichita, KS; two daughters-in-law, Ellen Wilson Schuermann and husband, Roy, Pond Creek and Mary Wilson, Pond Creek; Eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church.
