Pond Creek Cemetery



The funeral for Wilma Arlene Widener, 93, of Medford will be 10 a.m. Monday at Jefferson United Methodist Church. The Revs. Peggy DeMent and Lester McKeeman will officiate. Burial will be in Pond Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.

She was born Nov. 18, 1913, near Jefferson to John and Elizabeth Martens Feuerhelm and died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at her home north of Pond Creek.

She graduated from Jefferson High School. She married Sam Widener Sept. 23, 1943, in Enid. They made their home on the family home place. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Jefferson. She participated in L.H. Club, United Methodist Women and Riverdale Grange.

Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn Page of Blackwell and Marsha Green of Pond Creek; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Jefferson United Methodist Church or charity of donor’s choice.
