Dorothy Lee Day Steffey
Dorothy L. Steffey, was born November 28, 1921, the daughter of John and Mamie (Alcorn) Day and departed this life May 31, 2020, at the age of 98.
She was a 1940 graduate of Jefferson High School. In 1942 she moved to Wichita to work at Beech and Cessna aircraft companies as an Inspector. She later worked 18 years as a dental assistant before becoming the Cherokee Deputy County Clerk.
Dorothy was a member of the Moose Lodge, a life member of VFW Auxiliary and Willow Road Christian Church of Enid.
Dorothy being the last member of her family, was preceded in death by both parents, her sister Wilma J. Evans and husband Paul Steffey. She is survived by children Cleve Collinsworth, Gary Collinsworth, Debra White and David Steffey, five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dorothy L. Steffey, will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Wilson Funeral Home in Pond Creek, Oklahoma, with Pastor Les Washnock officiating. Interment to follow in Pond Creek Cemetery. Memorial may be made to Enid Furever Friends with Wilson Funeral Home as custodian.
