Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Ramona J. Shaklee, 84, of Enid, Okla., will be 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at Willow View United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lesly Broadbent officiating. Interment will follow at Pond Creek Cemetery.
Ramona was born July 9, 1930, in Jefferson, Okla., the daughter of Harold and Lena Scott Ballard and passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2014.
She was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 1949 graduate of Enid College of Business.
She was united in marriage to Jim Shaklee on Sept. 30, 1951, in Pond Creek. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1995.
She was a retired medical assistant. She was an athlete, a musician, a quilter and a painter. An active member of Willow View’s choir, she also served for several years as the church historian.
Survivors include her daughter, Toni and husband Will Focht of Stillwater; son, Monty and wife Janet Canaday of Enid; and one granddaughter, Kendrea Focht.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, Alzheimer’s Association and the Enid Symphony, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
