Richard Thomas Schultz was born on July 23, 1946 in Enid, OK the son of Merl Raymond and Phyllis Deloris (Humphreys) Schultz. He departed this earth on January 19, 2021 at the age of 74. Richard was raised in Pond Creek, OK where he graduated from high school in 1964. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a Bachelors in 1968. Richard served in the Navy. After getting out of the Navy he lived in California for many years where he had a big interest in ballroom dancing until he moved back home to help take care of his mother.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Merl, sister and brother in law, Betty and Merrill Bross, his sister Jane Schultz , along with other relatives.
Richard is survived by his mother Phyllis Schultz of Enid, niece Amanda Bross of Edmond, nephew Adam Bross of Oklahoma City, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 30,2021 at the Pond Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pond Creek Cemetery and the Oklahoma foundation of Diabetes.
