Theresa Beatrice Prochaska Rogers, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 26, 2015, in Tulsa, Okla. Theresa was born Feb. 3, 1946 in Enid, Okla., the daughter of Joseph Prochaska and Silva (Stoner) Prochaska.
Theresa lived in Pond Creek, Okla., in her youth and moved to Oklahoma City and Enid, Okla., in her young adult years.
She was employed at various restaurants as a trained chief. She loved cooking for family, friends and co-workers and could recreate any dish after one taste. In 1978, Theresa started her employment at Enid State School (NORCE). She held various job positions throughout her 20 years of employment. She always went to work with a smile on her face as she enjoyed her job, working with individuals with special needs. During this time period of her life, she married Jack Rogers of Enid, Okla. They later divorced, but remained good friends.
In 2003, Theresa moved to the Stillwater area to be closer to family. During this time period, she made many new friends and had wonderful caregivers.
Theresa will be fondly remembered for her beautiful eyes, her love of her cats and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Stevens and grandson, Josh Stevens of Tulsa. Also surviving Theresa are her brothers, Raymond and Glenda Prochaska of Pond Creek, Okla., Martin and Kay Prochaska of Mustang, Okla., and Paul and Karolyn of Savanna, Texas.
Theresa was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Michael Prochaska and her sister, Marie Prochaska Lainez-Lozada.
Graveside service will 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Pond Creek Cemetery, Pond Creek, Okla. The family has entrusted Moore’s Rosewood Chapel Funeral Home, Tulsa, Okla., (918) 744-1202, with arrangements.
