David Ray Melott

December 27, 1942 - September 20, 2020

David was born December 27, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Vincent Robert and Ida Mae (Wells) Melott and left to meet his Lord and Savior on September 20, 2020 at his home with family by his side.

He attended Jefferson and Pond Creek schools, graduating in 1961. He was a star player on the basketball team thru his high school years. He married Donna Lee Isaacs on February 25, 1961 in Enid, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 59 plus years of marriage. He attended Okmulgee Tech, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1963.

David's career began at Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville as a Mechanical Engineer. Deciding to venture out on his own, he became a Contract Engineer which created many moves around the United States designing Chemical Plants. In 1975 David and family moved to Enid to become the Mac Tool Owner/Operator. Years later he accepted the Mac Tool District Manager position. He then went on to own and operate: The Tool Shack, Jobbers Warehouse and Mountain Man Nuts, Fruits and Candy. Thru his many business opportunities he made a tremendous amount of friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Vincent Robert and Ida Mae Melott and his Father and Mother-In-Law, James and Mildred Isaacs.

Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Donna, Daughter, Michelle (Hugh) Kimball and Son, Michael (Sherry) Melott all of Enid. Grandchildren: LaDonna (Troy) Crabb, Daniel Smith, Matthew (Amanda) Melott, Kimberly (Sam Camarillo) Melott. Step Grandchildren, Bobbye (Jesse) Romero and Shelley (Marcus) Landry. 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Grandchildren.

A special thank you to the loving and caring staff of Valir Hospice and Janice Dunn (Caregiver).

Contributions may be made to OMRF - Cancer Division or Christ Community Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2020 in the First Christian Church of Pond Creek with Pastor Bobby Hall officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Pond Creek Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family present will be held between 6:00 and 7:00 pm Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Stittsworth's. Masks or face coverings required please.

Donna Lee Melott

August 1, 1943 - September 26, 2020

Donna was born August 1, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma to James Anthony and Mildred Marie (Sturtz) Isaacs and left to meet her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2020 with her family by her side.

She attended Jefferson High School, graduating in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart David Melott on February 25, 1961, in Enid, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 59-plus years of marriage until David's passing on September 20, 2020.

Donna's most important role was a loving and caring mother, with a heart of Gold. She loved and cherished friends and family alike. She was the behind the scenes owner/operator with her husband David of many businesses in Enid. She was a member of Casa La Mia HCA and Thunderbird Camping Club. She loved to bowl and made many friends over the years.

Preceding her in death are her Husband David, parents James Anthony and Mildred Marie Isaacs and her Father and Mother-In-Law Vincent and Ida Mae Melott.

Left to cherish her memories are:Sister, Mary Ann (Delvin) Aebi, Daughter Michelle (Hugh) Kimball and Son Michael (Sherry) Melott all of Enid. Grandchildren; LaDonna (Troy) Crabb, Daniel Smith, Matthew (Amanda) Melott, Kimberly (Sam Camarillo) Melott, Step Grandchildren Bobbye (Jesse) Romero and Shelley (Marcus) Landry; 12 Great-Grandchildren and 6 step Great Grandchildren.
