POND CREEK — The funeral service for Mildred R. Lee, 86, of Pond Creek, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Pond Creek. The Rev. Richard Stephens officiating. Burial in Pond Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
Mildred was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Pond Creek to Thomas Fisher and Goldie Fern Disney Shaffer. She died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at her home in Pond Creek.
Mildred Shaffer and Wesley E. Aebi were married in November 1941 in Garber. They lived in Pond Creek and Grant all their lives. She worked at Tebow Drug Store and Fees Drug in Pond Creek.. Wesley died in May 1962.
Mildred married Lloyd Lee June 12, 1971, in Enid. Lloyd died in October 1992.
Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church of Pond Creek and the Rebekahs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wesley Aebi and Lloyd Lee; and son, Bill Aebi.
Mildred is survived by daughter, Sharon Thul and husband Bob of Colorado Springs, Colo; son, Larry Aebi and wife Donna of Waukomis; daughter-in-law, Teresa Aebi of Pond Creek; brother, Jack Shaffer and wife Louise of Jefferson; three sisters, Joan Bushnell and husband Charles of Jefferson, Joyce Overton of Pond Creek and Dorothy Avery and husband Chuck of Byers, Colo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to Pond Creek Cemetery Association or Pond Creek Public Library.
