Albert Reed Kirkpatrick, 80, of Cosby, Mo., passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Carriage Square Health Care Center.

Albert was born Jan. 26, 1935. in Hawley, Okla., to James Albert and Bessie Mae (Reed) Kirkpatrick.

He served in the United States Army for over 231/2 years as a sergeant, first class.

Albert also worked for Midwestern Distribution and Peerless Windows in Fort Scott, Kan.

He married Janice Mae Lumm on Oct. 2, 1958, in Pond Creek, Okla.

She preceded him in death Feb. 11, 2015.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laurna Dee.

Surviving family includes two daughters, Carrie Kirkpatrick, Kaleen Ireland and husband Casey; and grandson, Kelton Reed Ireland.

Services 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 227 East Aspen, Pond Creek, Okla. Interment Pond Creek Cemetery, Pond Creek, Okla.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Wilson Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Warrior Dog Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
