The graveside service for Billy "Popcorn" Earl Hinton of Pond Creek is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at the Pond Creek Cemetery. Les Washnock of the Pond Creek First Baptist Church will be officiating.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home of Pond Creek. Visitation is 7-8:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home.
Billy was born October 4, 1931, in Shawnee to William Lloyd and Evelyn Helen Hinton. Bill worked for American Airlines, and also for many years as assistant superintendent and business manager of Enid State Schools.
He started college at Oklahoma A&M, and graduated from Phillips University. He was a huge Oklahoma State University supporter and fan.
Bill was very proud of his Potawatomi Native American heritage. He served in the navy reserves during the Korean War. Bill married Delores (Dee) Ann Hinton on July 8, 1981.
He is survived by his wife Delores (Dee), of the home; two daughters, Diana Easterly and husband Danny of Pond Creek; Hiley Morgan Hinton of South Korea; a son, Tom Hinton and wife Tracy of Pond Creek; four grandchildren: Mandy Robinson and husband John, Serenity Hooper and husband Anthony, Josh Hinton, and Natasha Hinton, and four great-grandchildren: Hailee Dent, Sara Robinson, Blaze Hooper, and Zoey Hooper.
Memorials may be made to the Pond Creek Fire Department.

February 11, 1949 - May 26, 2022Delores Ann "Dee" Hinton, 73, of Pond Creek, passed away in Oklahoma City on May 26th, 2022.
She was born to the late Lloyd and Claribel Collins on February 11th, 1949, in Enid, OK. She had one younger sister who preceded her in death, Debbie Holland, whom she loved so very much.
She married Bill Hinton on July 8th, 1981, and they lived together in Enid, Oklahoma, for two years before relocating to Pond Creek.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Hiley Hinton; stepdaughter, Diana Easterly; daughter-in-law, Tracy Hinton; brother-in-law, Joel Holland; nieces, Hollie DeYoung and Heather DeMario; nephews, Chad Holland and Eric Holland; cousins, Linda Donovan, Greg and Gary Reim, Dennis and Bruce Kelly, and Mike and Edie Malone. She is survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dee was predeceased by her loving husband Bill in 2018.
A graveside ceremony and burial will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Pond Creek Cemetery.
Flowers or cards may be sent to Wilson Funeral Home, 227 Aspen Ave., Pond Creek, OK 73766. Donations also may be made in Dee's name to American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
