John Max Felible, went to be with his Lord April 20, 1991. He was born April 17, 1921 in Douglas, Ok. to Rosa and J.C. Felible. He graduated from Deer Creek High School near Blackwell and Okla. A&M in 1943, where he had a 4 year football scholarship. He served 2 years in the US Navy reserve as a commissioned officer during WWII, and returned to Okla. A&M where he received his Masters in History and Geography. He sold insurance for 10 years with Union Central, American Mutual, and Franklin Life. He was also a pharmaceutical salesman for Borden for 10 years. He spent the last 26 years doing what he always wanted to do, owning a greenhouse business, and as a truck gardener. He was first in the state to develop overhead irrigation by gravity flow.
He is survived by his wife, Gene, of 47 years; 2 daughters, Sharon Felible and Jan Heller, both of Stillwater; a son, Johnny of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Ralph Jinkens of Enid; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Billy.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Moore, followed by services at Wilsons Funeral Home in Pond Creek, at 2:00 p.m., with burial in Pond Creek Cemetery.
