Funeral services for Mary Marie Cunningham, age 76 of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2003 in the 1st Methodist Church of Pond Creek. Rev. Lester McKeeman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pond Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are with Ladusau Evans Funeral Home of Enid.
She was born April 25, 1927 on a farm west of Jefferson to Porter Franklin and Allie Mae McKee Bradley and died Sunday morning December 14, 2003 in the Golden Oaks Nursing Facility in Enid. Mary was a graduate of Jefferson High School in 1945. Upon graduation, she left on a train to Hernando, Mississippi to marry her high school sweetheart Sidney Cunningham during his tour of duty with the United States Army Air Corp. Later he was discharged and they moved to Oklahoma City. In 1948 they moved to Pond Creek and later to Tonkawa in April 1959 where she handled childcare through her home for 22 years. Through those years, she positively affected 100's of young lives spanning several generations. She Loved Kids!
Mary was preceded in death by 3 brothers and two sisters, Ralph Bradley, Steve Bradley, Betty Reid, Nellie Reed and Dale Bradley.
She is survived by her husband Sidney Cunningham of Enid, three sons, Charles Lee Cunningham of Edmond, Vernon D. Cunningham of Louisville, Kentucky, and Marty Joe Cunningham of Branson, Missouri, grandchildren, Cris Lynn Cunningham of Oklahoma City, Chad Alan Cunningham of Ponca City, Porter Bradley Cunningham and Katelyn Grace Cunningham both of Oklahoma City, Heather Dawn Curran of Dallas, Texas, Erin Renee' Cunningham of Oklahoma City, Gregory Taylor Cunningham of Ponca City, Tila Meadows, Brooksey Meadows, Allie Mae Cunningham and Sydney Joe Cunningham all of Branson, Missouri, two great grandsons, Triston and Bryson, brothers and sisters, Mildred Light of Oregon, Bob Bradley of California, Grace Arnold of Ponca City, Jody Schuermann of Pond Creek.
