Fairview – Vernon Hayden Collins, 85, died Monday morning in a Fairview nursing home. His funeral service will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Fairview with the Rev. Steve Graham and the Rev. Anthem Wade officiating.
Burial will be in the Pond Creek Cemetery at 4 PM, under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home of Fairview.
He is survived by his wife Nora of the home in Fairview; four daughters, Mrs. Steve (Mildred) Haldeman of Ringwood, Maxine Partrick of Enid, Lavern Kushch, Fairview, and Mrs. Bob (Erma Jean) Manning, Enid; a brother, Clyde Collins, Oxford, Kansas; a sister, Leona Tippon of Fairview; 12 grandchildren, 22 great – grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, a son and a daughter.
Memorials may be made to the Fellowship Home or the Fairview Hospital Foundation in memory of Collins. Contributions in memory of Collins may be made through the Fairview Funeral Home.
