ENID — The funeral service for Linda Aebi, age 57, will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Pond Creek. Rev. Gerald Roggow will officiate. Burial will be in the Pond Creek Cemetery . There will be a visitation with the family Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Linda was born February 16, 1954, in Enid, OK, to Emanuel and Nadine Hermanski Herbert and died at her home Friday, October 7, 2011.
She married Harold Aebi December 28, 1975, in Breckinridge, OK. She taught school at the Garber Public Schools from 1976-1978 and at the Kremlin- Hillsdale Public Schools from 1978-2008. She was Teacher of the Year two times at Kremlin- Hillsdale . She was a member of the Women's Missionary League, the Child Enrichment Club and First Lutheran Church of Pond Creek. Her other activities included sewing, scrapbooking, cross stitch and cheering on twin sons at high school football games. Linda loved spending quality time with her two grandchildren and with her dog, Cocoa.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, of the home; son, Kevin Aebi and wife Wendy; two grandchildren, Braden and Madison Aebi; mother, Nadine Herbert; sisters, Donna Semrad, Mary Beth Light and husband Jack and Peggy Harvey and husband Don.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emanuel Herbert; son, Kyle; father-in-law, Ralph Aebi; and mother-in-law, Docie Aebi.
Memorials may be made to Kyle Aebi Scholarship Fund, First Lutheran Church of Pond Creek or Hospice Circle of Love. Condolences may be sent to www.ladusauevansfh.com.
