The graveside service for Harold W. Adams, 86, will be at 10:30 AM Monday in the Pond Creek Cemetery with the Rev. T. Arnold Davis officiating. The casket will not be opened.
The service will be under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
Adams died late Friday night at his home in Lahoma.
He was born April 22, 1901 in Chillicothe, Missouri, the son of John H. and Margaret Harville Adams. He moved with his parents to Tyrone and then to a farm southwest of Pond Creek in about 1905. He attended Lindville rural school.
Adams married Mildred M. Tindel on September 27, 1955 at Pond Creek. He farmed in the Pond Creek area all his life and was a member of the First Christian Church at Pond Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Adams, of the home at Lahoma; one brother, J. Q. Adams, Jefferson; and two sisters, Audree Bland, Clearlake City, Texas and Juanita Birdwell, Webster, Texas.
Memorial fund contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division. The funeral home will serve as custodian of the fund.
