April 22, 1934 - July 7, 2022Carol Williams-Briggs, 88, passed away on July 7, 2022. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Cimarron Valley Church in Perkins, Oklahoma, with burial following at 2:30 p.m. in the New Home Cemetery in Nash, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Sunday, July 10, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Carol was born on April 22, 1934, to Lowell and Elva Jones of Nash, Oklahoma. She attended Nash schools and Enid Business College. She married Bobby E. Williams of Enid in 1953. They had two children Mark and Sheryl.
Carol lived in Enid and attended Garland Road Church of Christ. She worked at Vance Air Force Base and St. Mary's Hospital until moving to Fort Worth in 1982 where she worked at the Fort Worth Clinic doing transcription for five doctors. In 1988 she married John Briggs, and they lived in Ripley, OK. They attend Cimarron Valley Church in Perkins.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Elva Jones, husband, Bobby Williams, brother, Bob Jones, and grandson, Chad Williams.
She is survived by her husband, John; son Mark and Kelly Williams of Enid; daughter, Sheryl and Gene Beeler of Stillwater; former daughter-in-law Pattie Williams of Enid, OK; five grandchildren Sean Williams of Enid, Ryan and Jade Henigman of Springfield, MO, Aliyah Beeler of Stillwater, Chelsea Williams of Enid, and Mary Beeler of Fort Smith, AR; four great-grandchildren, Trevor and Ricky Williams of Enid, and Jude and Aurora Henigman of Springfield, MO.; three step-children, Anthony (Tony) and Becky Briggs of Stillwater, Mark Briggs of Stillwater, and Cassandra and Shane McLane of Glencoe; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters Betty Beall of Kingfisher and Sherry and Jay Martin of Woodland Park, CO; two sisters-in-law, Gayle Jones of Oklahoma City and Sue Carroll of Davis; several nieces, nephews, and many friends and last, but not least, her favorite kitty, Cuddles.
