July 6, 1940 - November 19, 2021A Memorial Service for Brent Wayman Parks will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Nash Christian Church, with Pastor Matt Watkins officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Brent was born July 6, 1940, in Estella, Oklahoma, to Richard Gregory and Effa (Wayman) Parks. He enlisted in the Army October 9, 1962, and served 2 years at Fort Stewart, Georgia, before being discharged.
Brent married Carol Ransom in January 1963 in Ramona, Oklahoma. Together they raised three sons. Brent worked for Great Lakes Carbon as a heavy equipment operator for 32 years before retiring to the Nash community to enjoy family and friends. He was a member of Nash Christian Church.
Brent was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne and John; and one sister, Joann.
Brent is survived by sons, Greg W. Parks and Rene, Nash, OK, Brian Parks and Ramona, Ponca City, OK, Justin Parks of Nash; stepchildren, Richard and Shelley Nichols, Ron and Claire Nichols, Lee and Rhonda Zander; brothers, Bob and Linda Parks, Elam Parks, Harold Parks, Rick Parks; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Nash Christian Church. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK.
