Clarence Leroy Messenger, 67, of Bismark, AR was born to Arthur and Virginia (Babcock) Messenger on June 11, 1953 in Enid, OK. He lived near Hillsdale, OK going to school there through his 9th grade year. He graduated high school from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 1971. He attended VoTech , training in carpentry, welding and mechanics. After high school Clarence attended Bartlesville Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, OK where he met Anita Creason from Oregon. They were married on August 17, 1973.
Clarence worked on the family farm in the Enid and Hillsdale area. He also helped his brother operate his grandfather's grain elevator in Hillsdale. Clarence, Anita and their two boys Justin Jay and Cody moved to Bismark, AR building Liberty Mountain Ranch. He also did a lot of hay work in the Bismark-Hot Springs area and later owned and operated Messenger Waste Management. He and his family were very involved with the musical passion play, 'The Witness', in Hot Springs.
Clarence went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2020. He is survived by Anita, his wife of 46 years, sons Justin and Nicole Messenger of Enid, Cody and Jill Messenger of Malvern, AR and their 9 children, his older brother Jay and Eileen Messenger of Hillsdale, OK, and sister Nelda and Dale Turner of Broken Arrow, OK.
An informal memorial service will be Saturday , July 11, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hillsdale Bible Church fellowship hall.
