Jean Kuykendall funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, Nash, with the Rev. Sam Farris and the Rev. Gary Lillie officiating. Interment follows in New Home Cemetery, Nash. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
Jean was born October 7, 1925, in Enid, to Joe and Ethel (Moulden) Ott.
She died December 3, 2018, at the Greenbriar Skilled Nursing Home, Enid.
Jean graduated from Enid High School in 1942. She went to the Nursing Program at University Hospital in Enid, where she received her R.N. degree.
Jean married Charles Waggoner. Charles died June 26, 1957. Jean stayed on the farm in Nash, later marrying Leland Kuykendall. Leland died in 1987.
Jean was lifetime resident of Nash and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Nash, also teaching Sunday School. She was a camp nurse and cook at Falls Creek.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, brother Dean Ott, and her parents.
Jean is survived by her sister JoAnn Knotter, Enid; daughter Charlotte Bowen and husband J.C., Hillsdale; sons, Joe Waggoner and wife Darlene, Nash; Herbert Kuykendall, Nash; and Dean Kuykendall Nash.
Grandchildren, Julie Price and husband Mike; Kelsey McAlister and husband Caleb; Kassandra Weatherford and husband Adam; Katrina Kuykendall. Seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 104 Hazel, Nash, OK 73761.
