Hazel Mary Heusel, 57, of Lamont, died near Garber at 9 AM Saturday.

Born in Salt Fork October 20, 1922, she was a resident of the Salt Fork and Lamont areas all of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Lamont, the Dorcas Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women, United Methodist Women's Prayer Group and the American Legion Auxiliary.

The family will be at 218 W. Washington in Lamont. The remains will lie in state at McCafferty – Bolick Chapel in Lamont until 1 PM Tuesday.

Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday at the Lamont United Methodist Church with the Rev. G. Carroll Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery south of Lamont under the direction of McCafferty – Bolick Funeral Home of Lamont. The casket will not be opened after the service.

A Memorial fund for the United Methodist Church has been established in her name. Donations can be left at the State Exchange Bank in Lamont.

Survivors include two brothers, Homer and Gordon, Lamont, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Edith) Dunn, Garber, and Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Bobbitt, Lamont.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Chester and Clara Heusel, one brother, Stanley, and one sister, Clara Bell.
