Anthony, Kansas – John Wilson, 93, died Saturday morning in a Wichita, Kansas, hospital.
Wilson was born November 8, 1880, in Golden City, Missouri, and was married to Rosa Thomas there March 18, 1903. They came to Harper County where they farmed in the Ferguson community, later moving to Manchester about 1907.
Mrs. Wilson died October 11, 1913. He later married Mary Nina Miller June 14, 1917, and she died July 4, 1956.
After moving to Anthony, he was married to Frances Mitch Watkins on April 6, 1958, and she survives. He was a member of the Anthony Christian Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Harold of Manchester; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Moore of Cherokee, Mrs. Mamie Simmons of Enid and Mrs. Bernice Ricker, Perris, California; two brothers, Charles of Anthony and Henry of National City, California; eight grandchildren; 19 great – grandchildren and five great – great – grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be at 2 PM Monday in the Parsons Funeral Home in Anthony, Kansas. Interment will be in the I00F Cemetery at Manchester.
