Manchester, OK — MANCHESTER, Okla. — Marjorie “Genevieve” Wilson, born April 16, 1920, at the farm home to Elton and Nettie (Bartlett) Loop and died Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
She grew up and was educated in the Manchester area.
She married Harold Wilson Feb. 28, 1942, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a registered nurse and homemaker, an active member of the Wakita Christian Church, the Christian Women’s Circle and the B.R.I.C.K.S. Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carolyn of Woodway, Texas, and Daniel and Nancy of Medford, Okla.; grandson, Travis and wife Kelly of Norman, Okla.; granddaughter, Kristel Evans and husband Kirk of Piedmont, Okla.; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie and Carter Wilson of Norman, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, and one brother and his wife.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Christian Church in Wakita, Okla. Burial will follow in Manchester Cemetery. Arrangements by Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony, Kan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Wakita Community Health Center; Cookson Hills Christian School; or Manchester Cemetery, and may be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Homes Inc., 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003. (www.prairierosefuneralhomes.com)
