Manchester Cemetery


A graveside service for Novada P. Ball George, 90, Anthony, Kan., will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, in Manchester Cemetery. John Schnelle, pastor, will officiate. Arrangements are by Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony.

She was born Jan. 15, 1919, in Byron, to Miles and Essie Dowell Ball, and died Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Anthony.

She was a retired nurse aide. She married Perry George Nov. 10, 1937, in Cherokee. She was a member of Anthony Christian Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn Arnett and Vera Hill, both of Anthony, and Roberta Toner of Wakita; two brothers, Donald Ball of Anthony, and Jack Ball of San Angelo, Texas; two sisters, Helen Jenlick of Cherokee and Doris Diltz of Ponca City; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one step great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, five brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Manchester Cemetery or Anthony Community Care Center.
