The funeral for Edna Hazel Wall Whitworth, 87, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Lamont will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Lamont. Burial will be in Lamont Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home, Tonkawa.
She was born March 12, 1918, to George Enoch and Edna May Mercer Wall and died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at her home.
She was valedictorian of her high school and attended Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa.
She married James Lyle “Pete” Whitworth Dec. 24, 1937. They made their home in Blackwell, then Lamont.
She attended Methodist, Baptist and Assembly of God churches in Lamont. She moved to Texas in 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Edna Jean Millard and Julia Lewis; two sons, James Lyle Whitworth and Lyndal Luke Whitworth; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
