Deborah Lynne Vanhoozer Shook was born on November 17, 1958 in Sacramento, California to Jessie J. Vanhoozer and Marion Miller Vanhoozer and passed from this life on February 14, 2021 in Enid. She moved from Antioch, California twenty years ago. She married Bruce Shook on July 20, 2002. Deborah was involved in Girl Scouts. She was an amazing mom, kind and giving as well as a strong and big hearted woman. Deborah loved being Nana to her grandchildren. It has been said by her family that she was the glue that held the family together. She enjoyed sewing and making jewelry. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
Deborah’s mother, Marion Vanhoozer preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce; four children, Amanda Lynne Boone, Nicole Renee Hueppelsheuser, Pamela Michelle Lascewski, Jonathan Mathew Boone; step children, Melyssa Michelle Shook and Brandye Renee Shook; grandchildren, Madysn Shook, Carter Lascewski, Jordyn Hueppelsheuser, Gabe Childress, Rileigh Lascewski, Ryan Hueppelsheuser, Jake Miller, Brelinda Miller, Teresa Miller; her father, Jessie Vanhoozer; her sister, Kathleen Skinner.
Funeral service for Deborah will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Prairie View Assembly of God Church in Lamont. Burial will be in Lamont Cemetery.
