Rhonda Lynne Haskins passed away on Friday, July 22, 2005. She was born on November 19, 1956 to Homer James and Gracie Merrill Haskins. She was raised in the Hawley, Vining, and Sand Creek Communities. She attended Gore Consolidated School and graduated from Wakita High School. Rhonda obtained a bachelor's degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She resided in Enid and worked at the Northern Oklahoma Resource Center for 23 years. She was active in the NORCE Employees Union and lobbied frequently for employees benefits and concerns.
Rhonda was a member of Bethel Hawley Baptist Church. She was a movie buff and loved sports, especially football and fishing.
Rhonda is survived by her mother, Gracie Haskins, Wakita; three brothers: Jim and his wife Rose of Iola, Kansas, Homer Dale and his wife Barbara of Fritch, Texas; Rod and his wife Shelly of DeSoto, Missouri; and one sister, Brenda Dial and her husband Eugene of Thibodaux, Louisiana. Nieces and nephews include: Victor and Vincent Haskins, Amanda and Justin Haskins, Abbie and Raegan Haskins, and Chad, Brittany, and Terry Dial.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Homer James Haskins and a sister, Jamie Lou Haskins.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2005 at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church north of Nash, Oklahoma with Rev. Gary Lillie. Burial in Hawley Cemetery, north of Nash. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
Memorials can be made to Hospice, Wakita Community Health Center, or the American Diabetes Association.
