The funeral for Iola Fern Woods Cox, 98, of Medford, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Wesleyan Church, 1700 S. Market, Wichita, Kan. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery. Arrangements are by DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita. Local arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
She was born Dec. 25, 1907, in Jefferson to Walter and Ethel Bunch Woods and died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Servant Living Center, Medford.
She lived and farmed in the Jefferson Community until 1952, when she moved to Wichita.
She married Ted Cox April 17, 1926, in Nash. She was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church, Wichita.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Shire of Medford; one son, Larry Cox of Benton, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, two sisters, two daughters, and one brother.
Memorials may be made to Hawley Firemen’s Fund or Hawley Cemetery Association.
