ENID — Philip Curtis Clover was born to Orville Elliot Clover and Esther Shafer on May 17, 1927, at Village, Vining, Okla. On
Tuesday, May 15, 2012, he went to be with his loving wife in heaven.
Philip was drafted into the Army on Sept. 24, 1945. He was honorably discharged July 24, 1946.
Philip married Lois Jeanette Mills Jan. 23, 1947, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Parsonage, Manchester. They moved to the family farm near Hawley in 1950.
Philip worked at Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge from 1965 until his retirement in 1990.
Philip enjoyed raising CJ quarter horses, fishing, quail hunting, coon hunting, gardening, deer hunting and spending time with his family.
Surviving are children, Steve Clover and wife JoAnn, Bob Clover and wife Barbara, Esther Thomas and husband Jerry, Peggy Williams and husband Jay, and Lois Eileen Clover;
grandchildren, Buddy, Malissa, Jennifer, Lavonne, Robert, Curtis, Nikki, Jerrod, Jaylene, Jessica, Cheyenne and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Russell, Brent, Justin,
Morgan, Lilly, Felicity, Cole, Cody, Ethan, Jacob, Madison, Ethyn, Logan and Levi; and one great-grandson, Damion.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Bethel-Hawley Baptist Church, north of Nash. The Revs. Gary Lillie and Dan O’Daniel officiating. Burial in Hawley Cemetery,
with military rites conducted by the Army Honor Guard. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. Visitation with family will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hawley Volunteer Fire Department.
