Hawley Cemetery


Topeka, Kansas – A graveside service for Arthur S. Ayres, 88, will be 2 PM Wednesday in Hawley Cemetery, in western Grant county. The casket will be open at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka from 1 to 9 PM Tuesday.

He was born December 16, 1911, at Sand Creek to George W. and Edith Howland Ayres and died Saturday, January 22, 2000, at a Topeka nursing home.

He lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Topeka in 1980. He served in the Navy during World War I I and attended the Baptist Church at Sand Creek.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
