Jenkins Rites Saturday
Jack Gene Jenkins, 40, former resident, died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Ponca City hospital where he had been a patient for the last month and a half. His home was at 800 W. Ponca.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Roberts and Sons chapel with Rev. Robert W. Van House of the Ponca City Methodist church officiating.
Burial will be in the New Home Cemetery at Eddy under direction of Roberts and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Jenkins was born Aug. 11, 1922 at Eddy and had lived in Kay County all his life.
He was a lease broker in Ponca City and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Maudie; a step-son, Larry Triplett in the U. S. Navy stationed in Hawaii; his father, Charles Jenkins of Oklahoma City; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Jenkins, 1122 South Main and a brother, Coleman Jenkins of Ponca City.
He was preceded in death four years ago by another brother, Sonny Jenkins.
