February 9, 2010 Valerie Maureen [Franklin] Burnett Horstkoetter Erick: Valerie Maureen Horstkoetter, 51, passed away February 9, 2010 in Altus, OK. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 12, 2010, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, with Boyd Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Rush Springs, OK. Valerie was born in Oklahoma City, OK, to Lee Franklin and Barbara Neely Franklin. She attended Chickasha High School. Valerie married John Albert Burnett in Liberal, KS. She later married Mitch Horstkoetter in DeRidder, LA. Valerie worked as a graphic designer for Roughneck Shack for 10 years.She had resided in Erick, OK for 11 years. She was currently living in Altus. Valerie loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She enjoyed designing graphics for her grandchildren's school activities and bedroom walls. Survivors include, husband, Mitch Horstkoetter of the home, 2 Sons, Joe Bob Burnett and wife Katy of Midland, TX, and Zachary Horstkoetter of Erick, OK 3 Daughters, Jonnie Lynn Olivier of Erick, OK, Barbara Elizabeth Sigler and husband Aaron of DeRidder, LA and Kathy Lee North and husband Tim of Erick, OK 8 Grandchildren, Tristan Sigler, Chance Sigler, Haley Olivier, Benjamin North, Caden North, Taylor North, Destiny Cox and Micah Burnett Mother, Barbara Edwards of Altus, OK 3 Brothers, Terry Franklin of Rosepine, CA, Ethan Hale of Manitou, OK and Boyd Hale of Paris, TX Sister, Claudette Stotts of Oklahoma City, OK Step-sister, LeAnn Franklin. Several nieces and nephews Valerie was preceded in death by her father, Lee Franklin. Pallbearers will be: Tye Olivier, Jimmy Turner, Mike Horstkoetter, Ethan Hale, Terry Franklin and Dale Keahey. |
