Gideon H. "G. H." Wright

G. H. Wright, was born in Mississippi, in 1843, being 81 years, 2 months and ll days old at the time of his death which occurred Sunday morning. He had got up at 6 o'clock, and had dressed and was moving around about the house when suddenly [he] dropped dead an hour later.

Deceased had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. R. I. Graham, since last Christmas.

He was married to Miss Emma Oden in 1869, whom departed from this life about 5 years ago. To this union 9 children were born, of which six are living.

Four of the children attended the funeral: Jesse of Ft. Worth; Lem of Empire City; Doyle of New Wilson; and Mrs. Graham of this place.

Rev. C. H. Armstrong of Minco preached the funeral services at the Methodist church, Monday evening at 4 o'clock, after which the interment was made in the Verden cemetery.
