11 June 1970Ida Mertle Smith
Mother of E. S. "Toad" Smith passed on at 4 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Ida Mertle Smith, formerly of Verden, made her home in Oklahoma City in a rest home.
Funeral services were held at the Trinity Baptist Church Monday.
Interment was in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Smith and Kernke.
