Truman L. & Frances Mae [Cochran] Reynolds

YOUNG COUPLE SURPRISES FRIENDS BY MARRIAGE

Mr and Mrs Allie Cochran announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Frances to Mr Truman Reynolds which was performed Saturday evening at 9:30 o'clock by Justice of the peace, E L Harvey at Verden.

The young couple left immediately after the ceremony for Oklahoma City where they spent the week-end.

Mr. Reynolds has lived here with his mother, Mrs. Ella Tolls, a number of years, being head mechanic at the Triplett Garage and is a young man who has many friends throughout the community which he has won by his efficient and courteous service.

Miss Cochran resides in the Pioneer community near Chickasha, has won a number of friends here by occasional visits among the younger set.

The young couple will make their home in Verden.

Truman L. Reynolds

Funeral for Truman L. Reynolds, 73, Verden, will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan 16, 1981, in the Verden United Methodist church with Rev. Elbert Johnson, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Reynolds was born Aug. 29, 1907, at Acorn, Ark. he died Thursday, January 15, 1981, at his home at Verden.

He married Frances Cochran on Feb. 20, 1937.

He came to Verden in 1925 and worked as a mechanic for Triplett's Garage. He later purchased the garage which he managed until retirement in 1959.

Mr. Reynolds was a charter member of the Lions Club, past member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, past member of the Verden town board for three terms and served one term as town mayor. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Verden.

He was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Lee Reynolds, in March, 1938.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Mae Reynolds, of the home; two sons, Harold E. member of the Lions Club, Ronald E. Reynolds of Edmond; two brothers, Richard Symour Reynolds of Sublette, Kan., and Lemual Reynolds of Mena, Ark.; two sisters, Hazel Kerr of Chickasha and Thelma Wolfenburger of Mena, Ark.; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Interment will be in Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen-Binyon Funeral Home of Verden.

Frances Mae [Cochran] Reynolds Kubik

Funeral service for Frances Mae Reynolds Kubik, 84, of Duncan, formerly of Verden, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2001, in the Verden United Methodist church. Rev. Gerald Powley will officiate.

Frances Mae Reynolds Kubik was born on March 27, 1917, in Springfield, Ill. She died on Thursday, April 5, 2001, in Duncan.

Burial will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the McRay's Verden funeral Home.
