Julia Evelyn [Ballinger] Protzman

Mrs. D. G. Protzman was born in Jamestown, Kentucky, June 1, 1884, and passed away January 25, 1930 at the age of 45 years, 5 months and 6 days.

Was married to David Grant Protzman June 1, 1905; to this union eight children were born.

She united with the Christian church at the age of 13 and loved to attend its services when health permitted. Her last words were expressive of peace in God and a willingness to depart if it being the will of her master. Her cheerful, helpful life, her devotion to her family and kindness to everybody will long linger as a fragrant memory in the home which her presence brightened and which death has now darkened. In her heart she carried those she loved, and her hand was never weary, her step never failed in caring for and ministering unto her family.

Vain is any attempt to measure the loss of a mother to her children; after all the poets have sung and lovers dreamed, outside of heaven there is no love like mother-love.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Martin, pastor of the Duttom Methodist church, assisted by Rev. Hedrick of the Verden Methodist church. The services were held at the Methodist church in Verden Sunday afternoon at 2:30, and interment made in the Verden Cemetery

She is survived by a husband and eight children, Dorothy Fay, Doren, Earnistene, Mary Deane, Lenevene, Dale, Unita and David; besides four brothers and two sisters.

Frances Mapha Protzman

Little Frances Mapha, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Protzman, aged seven months, departed from this life Monday morning, March 4, 1912, at 3 o'clock a. m. of paralysis, after an illness of four weeks

. She had the very best of attention and nursing, an was attended regularly by our best physicians, yet all efforts to save her life was in vain.

Little Frances was the sunshine of the home and was dearly beloved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by them all.

The funeral services were held at the home and conducted by Rev. J. B. Henry Tuesday morning, March 5th, at 11 o'clock and the little body laid to rest in the Verden cemetery amid a host of sorrowing friends.

Another little lamb is gone
To dwell with him who gave;

Another little darling babe
Is sheltered in the grave.

God needed one more angel child
Admidst His shining band;

And so he bent with loving smile,
And clasped our darling's hand.
