W. T. PALMORE PASSES AWAY WEDNESDAY Funeral services for W. T. Palmore will be conducted in the First Baptist Church, Verden, at 2:30 p.m. today, May 24, with Rev. C. W. Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery.
Music for the services will be furnished locally with Mrs. F. G. Ransbarger in charge. Songs rendered will be "Old Rugged Cross," "Shall We Gather At The River," and "Does Jesus Care."
Casket bearers are L. G. Nuernberger, J. N. Kern, Roy Evans, John Compton, Charlie Lines and Bob Eldredge.
William Thomas Palmore, son of Fendell and Eliza Palmore, was born at Centralia, Missouri, May 4, 1830, and passed from this life at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 1946, at the age of 86 years and 18 days. It was in and around there he lived until 1897, when he went to Southwest Missouri and from there to El Reno, Okla. in 1900. On September 2, 1902, he moved to the farm 10 miles north west of Verden where he resided until death.
He was married in Missouri in 1884 to Annie Roberts who preceded him in death in 1889, to this union one child, Mrs. Ethel Riede, was born.
In 1891 he was married to Miss Edna L. Dudley and to this union was born one son, Ernest F. Palmore, who preceded him in death in 1940.
He was a member of the Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Riede of Verden, Route 1, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one sister, Miss Virginia Palmore, Boise, Idaho, other relatives, a host of friends and neighbors.
