Funeral services for Robert L. Newberry were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Hershel Erslinger, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, Cement, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Edward Whitley, pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God. The Pentecostal Church of God furnished the music.

Pallbearers were Cecil Winn, Chester Heavin, M. A. Garrett, Lawrence Winn, Wesley Blevins and Melton Singleton.

Interment was in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Hansen Funeral Home.

Mr. Newberry was born January 18, 1924 in Wewoka and died at his home February 20 of a sudden heart attack.

Survivors include his father, William F. Newberry of Anadarko; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Gray of Anadarko and Mrs. Rose White of Cement; and one brother, Arthur Newberry of Sunol. Calif.
