FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. D. MITCHELL Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Arthur D. Mitchell of Oklahoma City, a former resident of Verden. Rev. Jim Robertson officiated. Mrs. Don Brown, Mrs. Aubrey Finley, Mrs. Don Lear and Mrs. Harry Dodson sang "Rock Of Ages," "Beautiful Isle," and "God Will Take Care of You," accompanied by Mrs. E. L. Gardner.
Lillie Belle Earp was born in Ozark, Ark., Oct. 25, 1900, and passed away in the St. Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City, Aug. 24, 1959, at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 29 days.
She was united in marriage to Arthur D. Mitchell, Dec. 20, 1919, in Ozark, Ark., and to this union was born seven children, two preceded her in death.
They moved to Verden in 1928 and then to Oklahoma City in 1945, where they have lived until the time of her death.
She was a member of the Baptist church.
Those left to mourn her departure are: her husband, Arthur D. Mitchell of Oklahoma City; three sons, Olan of the U. S. Air Force, A. C. of Woodward, and Clifford of Mesa, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Lavielle of Oklahoma City and Irma of the home address, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild, three brothers, Ira Earp of Tulsa, Ernest and Ervin Earp of Bakersfield, Calif., and many other relatives and friends.
Interment was in Verden Cemetery.
