© The Verden News June 16, 1933 Mary Catherine Matthews Mrs. Mary Catherine Matthews died at the home of her son, W. J. Moxley, Sunday, June 11, at 320 p. m. She was born February 1, 1862 being 71 years, 4 months and 10 days old at the time of her departure. In 1900 she united with the Baptist church of which she lived a true Christian life and a loving mother to her family. She leaves to mourn her death, 4 daughters and 2 sons.
