Funeral services for William Henry Horn, 86, of Verden, Okla., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Jim Sheerer will officiate. William Henry Horn was born March 1, 1918, in Leslie, Ark., and died on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Burial will be in Verden Cemetery, Verden, under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Funeral service for William Henry Horn, age 86, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2004, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Jim Sheerer will officiate.
William Henry Horn was born the son of Dennis Garfield Horn and Minnie Lee Ellis Horn on March 1, 1918, in Leslie, Arkansas. He died on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Henry grew up between Marshal and Leslie, Arkansas. He joined the United States Army and served during World War II. After his discharge from the Army, he moved to Oklahoma City. Henry married June Ilene Burr on February 14, 1942, in Oklahoma City. They moved to the Verden area in 1946, and farmed north of Verden.
Henry was a member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Verden and the Elks in Chickasha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ruby, Betty, and Erma Jean, and one brother, Leo.
Survivors include: Wife, June Horn, of Verden; daughter and husband, Donna and Harold Gillenwaters, of Chickasha; daughter and husband, Sandra and Bill Bachle, of Oklahoma City; grandson, Gregory Gillenwaters, of Honolulu, Hawaii; great granddaughter, Michelle Gillenwaters, of Honolulu, Hawaii; great grandson, William Gillenwaters, of Honolulu, Hawaii; sister, Annie Lee Fendley, of Leslie, Arkansas; brother, Franklin Horn, of Rosebury, Oregon; brother, D. G. Horn, of Sutherlin, Oregon.
Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery. Service will be under the directio n of the McRay Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Oaks Educational Scholarship Fund, Southern Oaks Church of Christ, 3320 S. 16th, Chickasha, OK 73018.
