Monday, June 8, 1968Lucy Jane [Sturm] Hinkle
Mrs. Lucy Jane Hinkle, 59, 1406 South Seventh, was killed in a two car accident on the turnpike near Bristow at 3:30 pm Saturday during a rain storm. She was en route to Tulsa to visit her daughter. Mrs. Hinkle was born Sept. 1, 1908 at Anadarko. She moved to Chickasha in 1934 from Verden. She was married 24 November 1929 to Elmer Hinkle at Duncan.
She was a member of the Baptist Church at Fort Cobb.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer of the home; two daughters: Mrs. George Dawson of LaFayette, Tenn., and Mrs. Don Richards of Tulsa; one son: Jess Hinkle of Las Vegas, Nev.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sturm of Fort Cobb; two brothers: Edgar Sturm and Raymond Sturm of Fort Cobb; one sister: Mrs. George Collins of San Angelo, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at the chapel of the Sevier Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Verden Cemetery.
